A career, training and development specialist for over 40 years, David has developed a unique breadth of experience and understanding of how to help people fulfill their potential. Many different consultancy assignments, in a variety of settings

and contexts, have enabled him to facilitate a range of commissions in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Passionate about excellence, he wants to see quality improvements in training in all areas of working life. 

His desire is to engender a culture of lifelong learning in the workplace, where training and development are seen as instrumental to the achievement of an organisation's strategic plans and where embracing change is fundamental to the accomplishment of goals.

David is regarded as a thorough, organised, creative and caring professional having spent the last 17 years as a voluntary counsellor.

On the International stage, David is a prolific conference speaker and provider of specialist masterclasses around the

World.  Considered an expert in his field of cognitive mapping and evaluation, he values highly the importance of reviews and continuous improvement.

David is also an accomplished author with FOUR BOOKS currently in print which are widely used by business and academia. 

His extensive range of articles are published in academic journals and he regularly receives requests for writing commissions.

He is the 2009 winner of the Emerald Literati Network Award for Excellence for his article "A model for outsourcing HRD" published in the Journal of European Industrial Training.

David is a member of the University Forum for HRD Council, and represents it on the editorial board of Human Resource Development International journal.
