ISO 10015 : 1999 is the original quality training standard developed by the ISO, a standard-setting body of representatives.
However, ISO 10015+ : 2009 is the new updated quality standard for training systems. This was adapted and enhanced by CSEND/AdeQuaTE, the team in Geneva, who were amongst the original members of the working party that developed the 1999 guidelines.
Why have a quality standard for training systems?
Training can sometimes receive a lot of criticism for not addressing real organisational needs.
When economic times are tough, it is often the first budget that is either reduced or removed altogether - its sustainable benefits ignored in favour of short-term financial gain.
To counter this high risk strategy, those who run organise training, whether in-house or as a provider need to demonstrate more and more how its meets business needs.
This International quality standard provides the framework for reviewing, correcting and improving in-house or independent training systems and processes.
