EFQM TI-SAETO project

TI-SAETO is an acronym for:

Transfer of Innovation obtained from the

Self-Assessment for Educational and Training Organisations

The 2010 TI-SAETO project was funded by the European Commission LEONARDO DA VINCI

Community Vocational Training Action Programme and built upon the work done by two

former projects: SAETO and Trans-SAETO.  It further developed the software product originally created which was underpinned by the EFQM Excellence Model.

This project was enhanced by the cultural and national diversity offered by the range of project partners:

  • University of Hitit, Turkey

  • University of Gazi, Turkey

  • EuroFortis Ltd, Latvia

  • European Consortium for the Learning Organisation, Belgium

  • University of Dortmund, Germany

  • IBK Ltd, Germany

Our involvement

We acted as both 'specialist expert' advisor to the TI-SAETO advisory board/project partners

and as approved UK 'Field Tester' and were involved in the varying stages of the project:

  1. Alpha testing of TI-SAETO prototype

  2. ETO testing of the tool in a real life business case running beta self-assessments with the  goal to define a status, identify and implement improvement actions (spring 2010)

  3. 15 additional test users were involved in the improvement of the solutions (mid 2010)

  4. Presentation of mid-point results at a joint conference run by European Consortium    for the Learning Organisation (Istanbul, Turkey, 12-14 May 2010)

  5. Second stage ETO self-assessment testing, with the goal of obtaining either an ISO 9001 or 10015 Certification or the official EFQM Recognition (Autumn 2010)

  6. Presentation of final project results to an invited audience of specific educational and   training specialists (Riga, Latvia, November 2010)
